Career change after 13 years

“After 13 years with the same organisation, the thought of making a career change was incredibly daunting. Chloe helped me recognise the value of my experience, understand what I wanted from my next move, and gave me the confidence to actually go for it. I’ve since made a career move that has been such a positive change, both professionally and personally. Her guidance gave me the clarity and confidence I needed to take that next step.”

Recognising the value of 15 years’ experience

“I’ve spent the past 15 years in the same industry and within the same company, but over the years I’ve progressed through different roles and taken on increasing levels of responsibility. When I reached a point where I wanted to take the next step in my career, Chloe helped me gain clarity around where I wanted to go and, importantly, recognise the value of the experience I’d built over the years. Chloe’s guidance and approachable support gave me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone and approach my career progression with a much clearer sense of direction. I’m incredibly grateful for the impact Chloe has had on my confidence and career journey.”

Finding a clearer next step

“The job market feels particularly scary at the moment. Having someone like Chloe in my corner has been a blessing. She’s fantastic at helping me connect the dots, see my options more clearly and figure out the next best steps for me. I’m so glad to have her support.”

A useful place to start.

Practical tools for applications and interviews, plus selected early-career opportunity lists. Use whatever helps.

Track applications.

Keep roles, deadlines, contacts, feedback and next steps together. Open the view-only sheet and make your own copy to use.

Build a master CV. Then tailor it.

Start with everything you’ve done, then focus on each role.

  1. Capture everything. Roles, projects, achievements, skills and education. Formatting can wait.
  2. Tailor it to each job. Choose examples and truthful keywords from the job description.
  3. Present it clearly. Use the Harvard CV template as a starting point, or use its layout as a reference for your tailored CV.
Check your tailored CV

Your master CV is your full record, not the document you send with every application. Keep adding your experience and achievements without worrying about perfect formatting.

For each application, use the job description to select relevant examples and keywords that truthfully reflect your experience. Put that focused version into a clear template, then check:

  1. Use a simple structure with recognisable headings.
  2. Use role language only where it truthfully matches your experience.
  3. Show evidence of scope, action and outcome.
  4. Make the top third explain why you fit this role.
  5. Check dates, links, contact details and file format.

ATS-aware does not mean keyword stuffing. It means clear structure, relevant language and credible evidence.

Prepare for interviews.

Build your examples around 18 common questions using SPSIL: Situation, Problem, Solution, Impact and Learning. Make a copy of the view-only guide to practise.

Improve your LinkedIn.

Make your experience and next direction clear, starting with your headline, About section and skills.

Useful tools can get you started. If you’re still unsure how to apply them to your own situation, we can talk it through.

About me

Careers are a funny thing.

I’ve spent 15 years helping people navigate their careers. What I enjoy most is the conversation that turns uncertainty into something you can work with.

Work changes, life changes, and there isn’t always one right answer. We’ll explore your options, understand what matters to you now and choose a next step worth taking.

The moment someone sees a way forward is what keeps me doing this work.

I’m Australian and based in England, with experience supporting people across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and APAC. As a qualified coach and counsellor, I bring careful listening, honest questions and a practical approach.

Together, we can recognise your strengths and put your experience into words, so you feel ready for your next step.

I'd really love to hear from you!

Share a little about your situation in the short Google Form. I’ll read your answers personally and aim to reply by email within 24 to 48 hours to arrange our free 25-minute introductory call.
